The ZSM No. 1 in Grajewo once again celebrated the European
Day of Languages. The ceremony was prepared by the Language Team and was
connected with the promotion of the project implemented in the school of the
Erasmus + "Read Aloud Rise Europe". The students presented interesting
facts about foreign languages, read a few poems of K.I. Gałczyński in English, songs
were sung in different languages (Russian, English), there were several quizzes for the
audience, during which a correct response could be to get a small gift, there
was a presentation titled "Frankenstein" prepared on the basis of
reading, as well as students presented other poems in Russian and English. It was
also prepared a language corner, which aroused great interest of students.
The purpose of establishing this initiative by the Council of Europe is to educate the general public the importance of multilingualism in Europe,
fostering cultural and linguistic
diversity and the promotion of language
learning outside formal education cycle.
