Review of "Last Wish" by Wiktor Jagielski of class 3b

Four months ago I read a book ”Last Wish” by Andrzej Sapkowski.

It’s a collection of stories about Geralt from Rivia. He is a witcher- professional killer of monsters like goblins. He is unhappy, because people think, that witchers are mutants. They say, that Geralt and other witchers are more frightening than monsters.

In certain story Geralt was invited to a party in a castle in Cinthra. He helped Headgogy- a knight who at midnight turns into a Headgogy – man.  Main character said, that he want “sanething , that he meet in his house when he come back”. It means his child. It’s the last wish from the title.

In this novel the best story is about a lonely character, who wants to show people he has got feelings and he is a human, too. He’s got some friends like dwarfs, elves; but among humans he’s got two- Jakier the singer and Yennefer the withc. Geralt loves, her but she doesn’t love him.

“Last Wish”  was a very popular book in 90’s in Poland.
